After a period of creative distance and personal reflection, singer-songwriter Inigo Pascual returns under Star Music with a deeply personal new single titled “Ikaw at Ikaw”—a track that captures longing, gratitude, healing, and the quiet pull of coming home.

At the media conference, Inigo shared how the project marks more than just a musical release. For him, it’s a full-circle moment with Star Music, the label he credits for believing in him from the very beginning. He spoke about how they didn’t just help him release songs—they helped him discover his identity as a composer.

“Sa kanila talaga nanggaling yung confidence ko when it comes to music,” he shared, emphasizing how the label’s support allowed him to grow into a more confident and self-aware artist. Coming back to Star Music, he described the experience as something that simply “feels really good.”

Interestingly, “Ikaw at Ikaw” wasn’t part of his original album plan. Inigo revealed that he had already finalized most of the project when a sudden burst of inspiration led him to write again and this time, a love song that eventually evolved into something more layered.

What started as a romantic concept slowly transformed into something more reflective: a message about returning home, reconnecting with roots, and recognizing the people who patiently wait through long creative gaps.

For Inigo, that “waiting” isn’t just about fans — it’s about a shared relationship built over time. He described the track as feeling like a letter, both to his supporters and to the Philippines itself, especially after being away for periods of his career.

Produced with longtime collaborator Gab (who Inigo frequently works with), the track also signals a return to a creative comfort zone that he says he nearly lost while exploring different directions in his career.

A moment of reflection came when someone once told him, “You were doing really good, what happened?” While initially taken aback, Inigo said the comment became a turning point that pushed him to revisit the essence of his artistry.

Now, with “Ikaw at Ikaw,” he’s aiming to reconnect with that original sound and emotional honesty that defined his early work.

Inigo’s vision for the single goes beyond language or geography. He hopes the song transcends borders, something even non-Tagalog listeners can feel through its melody and emotion.

“Ikaw at Ikaw” is not just a comeback single. It is a statement of return — a return to self, to roots, to music, and to the people who waited along the way.
