Rooted in the Filipino spirit of “to each their own,” the track encourages listeners to make space for differences without judgment.

Alternative pop outfit One Click Straight (OCS) taps OPM icon Raymund Marasigan for their latest single, “Trip Lang”—a feel-good anthem that leans into spontaneity, self-expression, and the simple joy of doing things without overthinking.

At its core, “Trip Lang” is a celebration of peace, love, and authenticity. It strips away the pressure to constantly optimize or monetize every passion, instead encouraging listeners to move through life with ease and intention. The message is clear: despite our differences, we share the same human need for connection, freedom, and genuine expression—and those differences are meant to be embraced, not erased.

The track arrives at a time when hobbies are often turned into hustle, making its carefree spirit feel both refreshing and necessary. OCS fully leans into that mindset, even when imagining their own “trip lang” bucket list—playful, unpredictable, and delightfully absurd. From craving Frankies garlic parmesan wings to dreaming of playing in the NBA, driving a tank along EDSA, or building a statue of themselves on the moon, the band underscores a simple truth: joy doesn’t always need a purpose.

Bringing Raymund Marasigan into the mix adds both depth and legacy to the track. As one of the most influential figures in the Philippine music scene, his presence bridges generations—connecting OCS’s modern alt-pop sensibilities with the roots of OPM’s evolving soundscape.

“Honestly, it’s a bit surreal to have Kuya Rayms on the track,” the band shares. “We look up to him and truly respect his legacy. One of our favorite moments was just listening to his stories—ang daming ‘ah, ganon pala yun’ realizations. We learned so much about how the scene has evolved.”

More than a collaboration, “Trip Lang” becomes a shared statement across eras: sometimes, the best things happen when you stop forcing outcomes and just go with the flow.
