Manila, Philippines — Offshore Music is back with a strong wave of summer releases, putting the spotlight on a new generation of Filipino artists who are reshaping the sound of OPM today.
Headed by Ely Buendia of Eraserheads, the label continues to push boundaries—this time through a diverse lineup that blends nostalgia, experimentation, and emotional storytelling.
Ligaya Escueta returns with “June,” a soft, introspective track that explores love and uncertainty. Known for her dreamy sonic textures, Escueta leans into emotional honesty, offering listeners a glimpse into her evolving artistry as she works toward a future full-length release.
Jay Villarosa, also known as Sexy Jay, delivers something refreshingly different with “DAGA.” Inspired by a whimsical mouse story, the track features ‘80s-style synths and drum machines—showcasing his hands-on approach to production and creative storytelling.
Under the moniker Halina, Divino Dayacap explores retro influences in “Tukso,” drawing inspiration from Marvin Gayeand the golden era of Manila Sound. With more releases on the way, Halina continues to merge vintage sounds with a modern indie sensibility.
ALYSON adds depth to the lineup with “Kung Sakaling Tanawin,” a piano-driven orchestral ballad about unresolved love. Influenced by classic OPM storytelling and icons like Basil Valdez and Rey Valera, the track highlights the band’s growing musical range.
As Offshore Music continues to champion bold and original voices, its summer 2026 releases mark another step forward for OPM—one that embraces change while staying deeply rooted in Filipino identity.
