J-POP Meets Brazilian Funk
“Gachi Funk” represents a bold creative evolution, fusing contemporary J-POP with the infectious energy of Brazilian funk, filtered through Tokyo’s dynamic music scene. Member GHEE, drawing on his Brazilian heritage, co-wrote the lyrics, embracing a personal and rhythmic challenge.
Reflecting on the track, GHEE shared:
“The most important thing is whether the beat moves your heart from the very first listen. My honest reaction was, ‘This is cool.’ We hope fans feel the same excitement and energy when they hear it live.”
The music video elevates the single’s vibrant energy through a modern reinterpretation of nobility, symbolized by the color purple. Director YERD explained:
“Purple once represented monarchy or divinity. Today, it signifies personal nobility—having your own rules, aesthetics, imagination, and creativity.”
Choreographer Nina Neves added,
“Blending Brazilian funk with WHH’s signature hand signs, we preserved the groove while amplifying the song’s visual and rhythmic appeal.”
Departing from their smooth R&B roots, WOLF HOWL HARMONY embraces a high-energy, festive sound.
