ERICE, INTERACTIVE PHILIPPINES

On Day 1 of the tournament, the rising Vietnamese squad, Fancy United, stunned the esports world by toppling fan-favorite BOOM Esports, defying expectations to lift the Predator Shield and secure $65,000 of the prize pool. The team’s star player, Hoàng “Twilight” Minh Dũng, was an unstoppable force throughout their campaign, racking up an impressive 40 kills in their series against BOOM Esports. Twilight’s incredible performance earned him the MVP title and a $10,000 cash prize, solidifying his place as one of the tournament’s brightest stars.

Meanwhile, in Dota 2, Myth Avenue Gaming defended their Predator Shield in an intense clash against REKONIX, who had earlier made waves by eliminating the Philippine squad, InterActive Philippines, on Day 2. The series went down to the wire, with the two teams matching each other in skill and determination. In the thrilling Game 3, a 41-minute brawl, Myth Avenue Gaming emerged victorious, clinching the Predator Shield once again and the $65,000 prize. Philippine teams made their presence known throughout the tournament, showcasing incredible resilience and skill in South Asia’s competitive esports landscape. Xipto Esports, led by former Team Secret star Emmanuel ‘Emman’ Morales, played a pivotal role in their VALORANT squad’s run, reaching a Top 4 finish. Xipto Esports outperformed APAC Predator League Philippine Champions Oasis Gaming, who faltered after a 1-2 record in the Group Stage. Xipto Esports, on the other hand, topped their tough Group C and advanced to the semifinals, where they faced BOOM Esports and international VALORANT superstar Nikita ‘d3ffo’ Sudakov. Though they fell short of the Predator Shield, Xipto Esports showcased their immense potential and left fans excited for their future.

In Dota 2, InterActive Philippines made an impressive run despite being a late call-up to the tournament. Their path to the Grand Finals was blocked by Indonesia’s REKONIX, who sent IAP to the Lower Brackets. But InterActive Philippines wasn’t going to back down easily, and the match between the two teams was a hard-fought battle that went all the way to a Game 3. Despite their best efforts, IAP’s Slardar and Anti-Mage draft didn’t pan out, and REKONIX secured the Grand Finals slot, ultimately proving too strong for IAP in this tense showdown.
