Epson Philippines Corporation continues to champion environmental sustainability with a recent tree-planting activity at La Mesa Eco Park in Quezon City. This initiative reinforces Epson’s commitment to protecting the environment and maintaining Metro Manila’s remaining green spaces—often called the city’s “lungs”—which help improve air quality in densely populated urban areas.

Aligned with Epson’s belief that meaningful action should create lasting positive impact, the activity saw employees planting 221 native tree seedlings in designated areas of the park. These species were carefully selected to enhance biodiversity and aid in the restoration of the watershed, which has been affected by urban development. As these trees grow, they will stabilize soil, improve air quality, and enhance water retention in the La Mesa Reservoir, a vital resource for millions of residents.
This effort builds on an earlier activity in July, when 150 seedlings were planted in the same area. By returning within the same year, Epson reinforces the long-term rehabilitation plan for the park and demonstrates that environmental care requires consistent effort rather than one-time actions.

La Mesa Eco Park remains one of Metro Manila’s last forested areas, playing a critical role in maintaining the region’s ecological balance. Epson’s partnership supports conservation programs that rely on volunteers and private organizations to rebuild forest cover and strengthen the watershed’s resilience.
“Caring for the environment is part of who we are as a company,” said Masako Kusama, President and Director of Epson Philippines. “Our employees demonstrate this commitment every day, both through their work and through activities like this tree planting. Each seedling at La Mesa Eco Park reflects our shared responsibility to protect the natural resources our communities rely on.”
Through initiatives like this, Epson continues to transform its sustainability commitments into practical action, encouraging employees and communities alike to support a greener, more resilient future.
