The holiday season officially kicked off at Dusit Davao Hotels as dusitD2 Davao and Dusit Thani Residence Davao lit up their annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, celebrating this year’s theme, “Paskong Kayumanggi.”
Dusit Davao Hotels’ Christmas tree radiates festive charm, featuring handmade ornaments created by local artisans from Laak, Surallah, Cateel, and Monkayo. Styled by Ms. Annie Lim, each adornment tells a story of creativity, craftsmanship, and community, a true celebration of Filipino holiday spirit.
The centerpiece of the evening was a stunning Christmas tree designed by Annie Lin, adorned with handcrafted ornaments and décor made by talented local artisans from Mindanao—showcasing the beauty of Filipino creativity and craftsmanship at the heart of the festivities.
The Christmas tree at Dusit Davao Hotels was illuminated in a ceremonial lighting led by Tomas Lorenzo, DOT XI Regional Director Tanya Rabat-Tan, Bobby Horrigan, and Ian Itao. Madam Noor Emilia Alias, wife of the Consul General of Malaysia Mr. Deddy Faisal Ahmad Salleh, together with their daughter Hana Deddy Faisal, had the honour of pressing the button to officially light up the tree, marking the joyful beginning of Paskong Kayumanggi at Dusit Davao Hotels.Mr. Tomas Lorenzo, Owner of Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation and Dusit Davao Hotels, delivers his message during the Paskong Kayumanggi Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, sharing words of gratitude and holiday cheer with guests and partners in attendance.

A vibrant cultural dance performance by Kaliwat Culture and Arts Collective delighted guests with a captivating fusion of traditional movements and joyful Christmas rhythms, a celebration of Filipino heritage and festive spirit during Dusit Davao Hotels’ Paskong Kayumanggi Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.The Serenata Singers filled the Dusit Davao Hotels’ lobby with the warmth of the season through their heartfelt renditions of classic Filipino Christmas songs, setting a joyful and harmonious tone for the Paskong Kayumanggi celebration.
Guests were treated to captivating performances, including a cultural dance presentation by Kaliwat Culture and Arts Collectives and a heartwarming medley of Filipino Christmas songs by the Serenata Singers. The blend of traditional artistry and festive cheer brought the Paskong Kayumanggi theme to life, filling the night with music, movement, and meaning.
DOT XI Regional Director Tanya Rabat-Tan, Consul General of Malaysia Mr. Deddy Faisal Ahmad Salleh, Director of Marketing Jane Manzanero , and Executive Assistant Manager Ian Itao of Dusit Davao Hotels led the symbolic hanging of the Stars of Hope, a gesture that embodies the spirit of giving and the true meaning of Paskong Kayumanggi at Dusit Davao.
The evening concluded with an exclusive four-course dinner at Benjarong Davao, featuring a culinary experience that perfectly combined authentic Thai flavors with Filipino warmth and hospitality. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, telling a story of passion, culture, and celebration.
