Award-winning Filipino pop-rock band The Itchyworms is set to make their long-awaited debut in Nagoya, Japan with a special show at Live House Circus on October 5, 2025, as part of their Akin Ka Na Lang tour.
Known for their anthemic hits, witty lyricism, and electrifying live performances, The Itchyworms have captivated audiences across the globe. The Nagoya show marks their first time performing in Japan’s fourth-largest city, following memorable stints in Tokyo and Saitama earlier this year, as well as standout performances at the Tokyo Beyond Festival 2022 and Kansai Music Festival 2023.
“This will be our first time in Nagoya—both as tourists and as performers,” shares Jugs Jugueta, lead vocalist and guitarist. “We heard that there’s a big Filipino community there, and we’re so excited to play for them and meet everyone. We love Japan so much!”
Drummer and co-lead vocalist Jazz Nicolas echoes the excitement: “We’ve never been to Nagoya before, so it’s going to be a brand-new experience. It’s always a thrill to play for both Filipinos and local Japanese audiences.”
Fans can expect a unique setlist curated specially for this show. “We try to read the vibe of the crowd so we can deliver the best performance possible,” Jugs adds. “One thing’s for sure—we’ll bring them back home to the Philippines, even if just for a few hours.”
The tour also highlights the energy and versatility of the band’s newest member, Michael Vargas, who brings fresh dynamism on guitar, keyboards, and violin. His addition has elevated the group’s live performances, making each international stop even more anticipated.
Nagoya marks the band’s fourth international show this year, following successful performances in Tokyo, the UK, and Bali, Indonesia.
“Everything about touring abroad excites us,” Jugs says with a laugh. “The food is always part of the adventure. The only challenge is fitting all the pasalubongs in our luggage without going over baggage weight!”
