I’ve always believed that food isn’t just about taste—it’s about the feeling it gives you. And at TungLok, that feeling is everything. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for more than just a meal—it was about to be a full-on experience.

No other spot I’ve tried quite matches this kind of energy: big seafood flavors, warm and welcoming ambiance, and that rare mix of comfort and celebration. The menu? Basically a greatest hits album of Singaporean favorites—and they hit every note.

We kicked things off with Crispy Fish Skin with Salted Egg, which disappeared from the table faster than I could take a second bite. The Dimsum trio—especially the Pork Siu Mai and Steamed Beef Balls—felt like a nod to tradition, but with that unmistakable TungLok flair.

Then came the stars of the show. The Signature Chili Crab, paired with perfectly fried mantou buns, was honestly a whole love story on a plate. The sweet, spicy, and savory sauce clung to every juicy bite, and yes—I was happily licking my fingers. We also had the Black Pepper Australian Beef Tenderloin, so tender it practically melted, and the Firecracker Chicken, which brought the right kind of heat.

But what really surprised me was dessert. I didn’t expect to fall head over heels for something so simple, but the Honeycomb Cake was a standout. Steamed to perfection, with deep molasses flavor and a texture that reminded me so much of kakanin—it felt like a sweet, nostalgic hug at the end of an already soulful meal.

What tied everything together was the vibe. TungLok manages to be both elegant and cozy—refined enough for special milestones, but warm enough for spontaneous cravings. Beautiful interiors, artfully plated dishes, and staff that make you feel right at home… I couldn’t ask for more.

It wasn’t just a meal—it was a moment. And I can’t wait to go back.
