Lenovo has just released its FY 2024/25 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, showcasing significant progress toward its 2030 emissions reduction targets and reaffirming its ambitious goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This long-term commitment aligns with the Science Based Targets initiative and marks a pivotal chapter in Lenovo’s sustainability journey as it nears completion of its first-generation ESG key performance indicators.

Advancing Environmental Impact through the Circular Economy
This year’s report highlights Lenovo’s intensified efforts in environmental responsibility, particularly through the circular economy. By incorporating closed-loop recycled materials into its products and offering repair, recycling, and reuse services, Lenovo empowers customers to extend product lifecycles while reducing waste.

Lenovo’s social impact also saw strong momentum in 2024. The company was once again named a Best Workplace for People with Disabilities by Disability:IN in the U.S., and expanded this recognition to the U.K. and Brazil through the global application of inclusive practices.
During its annual Love on Month of Service, Lenovo employees broke new records, reaching 44% more individuals through volunteer efforts—an inspiring testament to the company’s commitment to community engagement and global impact.

Lenovo continues to lead in responsible AI innovation. In 2024, the company introduced a robust AI governance policy aligned with global frameworks and commitments, including those from the Canadian Government, UNESCO, Cercle InterL, and the European Commission.
To further strengthen governance, Doug Fisher was appointed Chief AI Officer in addition to his role as Chief Security Officer—reinforcing Lenovo’s “Smarter AI for All” vision.
