For the first time ever, lifestyle show “Metro Home” steps beyond local borders to take viewers on an inspiring cultural journey — straight into the heart of the Philippine Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan. Catch this special international episode premiering on Metro Channel this Saturday, July 19 at 8:30 PM.

Hosted by renowned interior designer Anton Barretto, the episode dives into the creative vision behind the stunning rattan-clad pavilion titled “Woven,” a masterpiece conceptualized by acclaimed Filipino visual artist and architect Carlos Calma. Designed to showcase the Philippines’ rich heritage and craftsmanship, the pavilion is a celebration of sustainability, artistry, and innovation.

At the center of the exhibit are over 200 intricately handwoven textiles — each handcrafted over eight months using eco-friendly materials by local artisans across all 18 regions of the Philippines. Every piece tells a story, weaving together the threads of history, culture, and identity into one vibrant display.

But tradition meets technology at “Woven.” The pavilion also features an interactive AI-powered fiesta, where visitors can engage with Filipino culture in a dynamic and playful way. Completing the immersive experience are a photobooth, gift shop, Filipino café, and a relaxing massage area — all thoughtfully curated to reflect the warmth and vibrance of Filipino hospitality.

“Metro Home,” one of Metro Channel’s flagship lifestyle programs, continues its mission to inspire with stunning architecture, thoughtful design, and cultural relevance. In its previous episode, co-host Jessica Kienle Maxwell joined Anton in a flavorful journey through the Spanish roasting house Asador Alfonso.

Now, get ready for a truly global celebration of Filipino ingenuity and artistry.
