Catering to the growing appetite for international travel, AirAsia Philippines has increased its Manila–Taipei flight frequency from 14 to 17 times weekly starting this July.

The boost in flights follows a consistently strong average load factor of 85% on the Taipei route, solidifying its status as one of the airline’s top-performing international destinations.
From January to June 2025, over 70,000 passengers flew with AirAsia to Taipei — a number expected to rise even further thanks to Taiwan’s extended visa-free entry for Filipino travelers staying up to 14 days, now valid until July 31, 2026.
“This expansion couldn’t have come at a better time as we enter the third quarter and prepare for the peak travel season,” said AirAsia Philippines President and CEO Suresh Bangah. “With the ‘Ber’ months fast approaching, we’re anticipating a surge in demand as more Filipinos travel to Taipei to enjoy its cooler climate from September through February. These additional flights also give our guests more flexibility and options — whether they’re traveling for leisure, business, or to reconnect with loved ones.”
Beyond increasing flights, AirAsia Philippines is also reinforcing its 15 + 1 fleet to support growing demand across domestic and international markets, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to accessible and dependable air travel for all.
