The magic continues! HBO has officially revealed more of its powerhouse cast for the highly anticipated Harry Potter original series, announcing a stellar lineup of award-winning actors taking on some of the Wizarding World’s most iconic roles.

Six-time Emmy® winner, two-time Tony Award® and Olivier winner, and Oscar® nominee John Lithgow has been cast as the wise and enigmatic Albus Dumbledore. Joining him is Tony Award® winner and Oscar® and Emmy® nominee Janet McTeer as the beloved Minerva McGonagall, Emmy® and BAFTA nominee Paapa Essiedu as the complex Severus Snape, and BIFA nominee Nick Frost as the gentle giant Rubeus Hagrid. All four actors will serve as series regulars.
In addition, Luke Thallon will appear as Quirinus Quirrell, and five-time BAFTA winner Paul Whitehouse is set to play the ever-grumpy caretaker Argus Filch in guest and recurring roles.

The upcoming Harry Potter series promises to be a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s bestselling book series, capturing the rich world, intricate details, and timeless characters that fans have cherished for over 25 years.
