2GO, the Philippines’ largest integrated transportation and logistics provider, has partnered with SMX Convention Center, Central Business Park (CBP), and SM Estates to establish 2GO-SMX Events Logistics, a centralized permit and logistics facilitation system designed to streamline event operations within the SMX Convention Center and the Mall of Asia Complex.
The new initiative brings permit processing and logistics coordination under a more integrated framework, giving exhibitors, organizers, contractors, suppliers, and service providers a more efficient way to manage event-related requirements and cargo movements.
“Streamlining our work with SMX, CBP, and SM Estates is a reflection of our commitment to innovation across the logistics ecosystem,” said 2GO Forwarding Business Unit Head Faye Alonzo. “Through this partnership, we are consolidating permit processing as an integrated end-to-end solution and a single point of contact for permit processing. This enables exhibitors and organizers to move cargo more efficiently and with greater confidence.”
Simplifying Permits and Event Logistics
Formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the partnership aims to simplify permit facilitation, improve operational efficiency, and support the seamless movement of exhibit materials, event equipment, and deliveries for exhibitors, organizers, suppliers, and service providers.
Under the agreement, 2GO will facilitate permit applications on behalf of contractors, coordinate endorsements with SM Estates, process submissions with CBP, and provide end-to-end logistics support throughout ingress, event operations, and pull-out activities within the SMX Convention Center.
The initiative is designed to bring the different stages of event logistics into a more coordinated process, helping stakeholders navigate requirements while keeping cargo and equipment moving efficiently.

A One-Stop Approach to Events Operations
The collaboration introduces a one-stop service model designed to make permit processing more efficient while ensuring compliance with estate and operational requirements.
By streamlining coordination among the participating organizations, the initiative is expected to reduce administrative workload, minimize potential delays, and enhance the overall event experience for organizers, contractors, exhibitors, and eventgoers.
“For SM Estates, this collaboration is key to permit review and endorsement. Made possible by this MOU, closer coordination with our partners will enable a faster and more simplified process,” said Jessel Kabigting, Senior Vice President for Development and Management of SM Estates.
Meanwhile, CBP President Erickberth Calupe underscored the importance of close coordination among the parties while emphasizing CBP’s regulatory role.
“Strong partnerships are essential to creating effective change. While CBP remains the sole authority for regulating permits, applications, vehicle access, and fees, this collaboration enables us to deliver our services more holistically and effectively.”
