GUESS Originals has joined forces with Market for an exclusive limited-edition capsule, delving deep into the archives to resurrect the iconic GUESS mascot, Foxy, originally developed in the 80s. This collaboration marks the return of the beloved character for the Fall 2023 season, featured in a new short film and capsule collection.

Embark on a journey with Foxy as he explores the city, seeking inspiration for the perfect design. Despite setbacks, Foxy remains determined, and after a chance encounter in a coffee shop, he returns to the Foxy Denim Repair Shop with renewed confidence.

The Foxy capsule seamlessly merges GUESS Original’s youthful, heritage-inspired blueprint with Market’s expertise in pop culture and streetwear. The collection showcases premium fabrics, expressive prints, and vintage inspirations, creating a reworked, throwback aesthetic.

Similar to a cherished pair of worn-in jeans, the unique patchwork exudes an authentic, lived-in energy. Each style features vintage-inspired patches and carefully placed distressing, offering a personalized ‘made just for you’ feel. The denim pieces are oversized, relaxed, and acid-washed, ensuring a distinctive, one-of-a-kind finish for each item.

The capsule encompasses a range of men’s and women’s styles, including graphic tees, sweaters, denim pieces, trucker hats, socks, and more.

Market, founded by Mike Cherman in 2016, operates as a global phenomenon that nurtures creatives, providing them with tools and guidance to bring their ideas to life within the LA Random Workshop. Known for its savvy and transparent approach, Market’s brand aligns with the speed of the internet.

Mike, the founder of Market, expresses, “Our collaboration with Guess was inspired by our love of vintage and repurposed clothing. We wanted to reinterpret this character and place him in our world. We pondered, what would Foxy be like if he had his own clothing shop? Foxy’s inspiration reflects the current DIY maker culture, promoting the idea that anyone can be a creator, encouraging self-expression and a DIY attitude.”

The lifelike Foxy walkaround featured in the Guess Originals x Market short film was crafted by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
