UNIQLO Introduces LifeWear Magazine Issue 09: The Art of Modern Layering

The magazine will be available from August 25

Leading international clothing retailer UNIQLO has unveiled its highly anticipated 2023 Fall/Winter edition of the LifeWear magazine (Issue 09), set to be released on Friday, August 25th. The LifeWear magazine serves as a complimentary publication that artfully embodies the core philosophy of UNIQLO’s LifeWear line, dedicated to enhancing the comfort and quality of individuals’ everyday lives. The central theme of Issue 09, tailored to the Fall/Winter season, is “Modern Layering.” This edition delves into the art of layering clothing, illuminating the boundless creative possibilities that arise from skillful combinations of fundamental wardrobe essentials.

Sharing his insights, Takahiro Kinoshita, the Fast Retailing Group Executive Vice President and Creative Director, remarked:

“UNIQLO clothing is characterized by its inherently simple design, catering to people of all walks of life. However, the magic unfolds when these pieces are masterfully combined, revealing a universe of possibilities. Clothing itself may not possess a distinct personality, yet it has the power to accentuate the uniqueness of its wearer. This is why the art of wearing clothes is paramount. The current edition of LifeWear magazine is dedicated to the concept of layering.

Within these pages, we explore the realm of elegant color layering, showcasing the prominence of gray and navy hues for the upcoming fall season. Additionally, we delve into pragmatic layered ensembles using HEATTECH, which celebrates its 20th year since its introduction, as well as the versatile Ultra Light Down. As the pages unfold, a sense of anticipation for the cooler weather builds, inviting us to indulge in the art of layering.”

Modern Essentials from Copenhagen

Copenhagen was another source of inspiration for the collection. We focus on the modern essentials of people living in a city that embodies sophisticated design and food culture. This section presents a minimalist layered style centered on grayish tones and dark colors.
