Apo Island is one of the destinations that will surely be blowing away your minds. The Island is bordered by tranquil, crystal-clear waters. It has even been named as one of the top dive locations in the world as 285 different species of colorful marine life, such as tropical aquarium fish, snappers, and the crevice-dwelling moray, abound in the channel’s crystal-clear blue waters. Leatherback and endangered green turtles congregate in these warm, shallow waters to chow down on the vibrant hard corals.

This place is perfect for underwater pursuits like snorkeling and diving. Divers can find a staggering diversity of marine life here, including big-eyed jacks, hump-head wrasses, hammerheads, manta rays, and even tuna close to Apo Island.

As of 1982, Apo Island was the longest-running community-run project of its kind in the Philippines. It is a marine protected area. Coral and other marine life are therefore wonderfully prospering! Also, the island is covered in unusual rock formations and boasts flawless white sand.

Now, there are several methods available to you for getting to Apo Island. I’ll go over each one in depth below. The best and simplest way to get here, though, if you just want to spend a fantastic day snorkeling and touring the island, is to arrange a trip with a tour operator from Dumaguete.

This journey entails:

  • transfer to malatapay from dumaguete
  • Pumpboat transportation
  • Turtle Point organized snorkeling excursions
  • Wonderful island lunch
  • Trip to Habagat Trail takes 30 minutes.
  • time to unwind and explore
  • Transfers from back to Dumaguete
  • Since you will have everything paid for, including the pricey lunch on Apo, this trip is a great value.
As Apo Island is mostly known for its turquoise waters, here’s a shot of a Diver together with a turtle.

Truly, this trip would be one of the most memorable ones that you’ll ever have, and of the bestEST destination for everyone who’s finding a place to rewind, relax, explore, and many more. In the Precious Pearl of Visayas, you’ll see what awaits you!
