It’s undeniable that when you think about the bossa nova genre that the Sitti will be the first name that will come in to your musical mind. After 10 years of the release of her double platinum album Cafe Bossa, the song Para Sa Akin still of the favorite song due to its lyrics and soothing melody.
This year Sitti with guitarist Erskine Basilio and percussionist Diego Martinez recorded and released their new album Singles Bossa Nova Trio. Recorded al-fresco at a house in Rizal where Sitti mentioned that there were more trees than people, the new album have birds singing with them that made it magical.
The carrier single is Ligaya which Sitti wrote for her husband. It defines her life right now as a married woman. Other songs includes Answers and the song All I Ever Wanted which she wrote long time ago for her crush.
The album also includes fresh twist of her covers of “Girl from Ipanema”, “Tattoed On My Mind”, and her biggest hit “Para Sa Akin”.
The CD is now out at Astroplus and Astrovision stores and available for download on Spinnr and iTunes. You can also stream it on Spinnr, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer and Guvera.
