The Bantay Bata 163 press launch had host Tina Marisigan, welcome remarks by Jing Castaneda (BB163 program director) , a message by Ces Drilon (the Head of Lifestyle Ecosystem), and the closing remarks by Susan Afan – the managing director of Abs-Cbn’s Lingkod Kapamilya.
Bantay Bata ,is a non profit organization that aims to go beyond rescue, scholarship, and outreach services as it responds to the alarming issue of online sexual exploitation in the country, especially in the areas where poverty is evident.
Rocky Gathercole approached Bantay Bata after he was interviewed by Abs Cbn after one of his successful shows abroad. He was the one who volunteered to help Bantay Bata. In the spirit of giving back and since he acknowledges that his inspiring story was one that can help others find light, life and hope in knowing Christ and ngos like Bantay Bata, he has now invested his precious time, his talent and his treasure to invest for the kids of bantay bata.
Here’s hoping other citizens and people can help their endeavor to help the kids in the Philippines.
If a big time fashion designer from the US can do it, we that are so close to these kids should be able to as well.
There will be a fundraising activity on August 12, 2017 at the Philippine Convention Center, featuring the world-renowned yet humble fashion designer to the stars, Rocky Gathercole.
Showbiz updates about this: Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion have confirmed to Rocky they will be gracing the event. Some Hollywood celebrities will be joining as well. In the interview with Rocky, He said he is willing to desing Lea and Aga’s wedding attire for their future projects together.
