Review: Ocean’s Harvest at Marriott Hotel Manila’s Marriott Cafe

The Philippines, with its more than 7,100 island surrounded by the sea, its no wonder why we Filipinos love seafood. We have abundance and varieties of fresh seafood that we love to eat in variety of ways: grilled, fried, sauteed, in sauce or in soup and much more.

One of the typical thing to do now to enjoy fresh seafood is to go the “Dampas”. But wait! Here’s another way of enjoying “Dampa” style dining: Marriott Cafe at Marriott Manila Hotel is offering Ocean’s Harvest, a seafood buffet held every Friday and Saturday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

It’s a feast of fresh seafood to be cooked in your favorite way of cooking. It’s like going to the “dampa” that you select the seafood you want to be cooked and then get it cooked the way you want it. The only difference is that you are doing it in the ambiance and the comfort of a 5-star hotel restaurant.

Let Chef give you a walk-through in this video what is stored for you when you visit Marriott Cafe’s Ocean’s Harvest.

You can have them wok-fried or stir fried, grilled, teppanyaki style or sauteed.  Tell the master chef’s how you want your “catch” cooked. They will give you a number that you hang on your table and then when it’s ready, it’s served in your table.

Also available are the slippers lobster, local blue sea crab, curacha crab, prawns, mussels, and white shells are chilled seafood that are ready to be eaten.

In addition to these numerous seafood options, here are also the other yummy things you can enjoy at the Marriott Cafe Ocean’s Harvest that you would not find in your typical “Dampa”:

Well judging from all the photos you have seen on what I ate, you can definitely guess that I really enjoyed that dinner. Nothing like having a 5-star “dampa” experience + more!

At Php 2,300, it’s definitely worth it especially if you are into seafood! I food was fresh, good quality and taste great.  The 5 star ambiance and service is unbeatable for the price.

So if you are looking for a good week-end dine-out for the best “dampa” in town, head to the Marriott Cafe’s Ocean’s Harvest seafood buffet. Enjoy!  For inquiries or reservations, call (02) 988-9999.
