RESTORED ‘KUNG MAWAWALA KA PA’ STREAMS AT SAGIP PELIKULA FEST ON KTX

Movie aficionados will have a chance to revisit one of the ’90s award-winning movies as ABS-CBN Film Restoration delivers the restored version of Reyna Films’ 1993 family-drama hit “Kung Mawawala Ka Pa,” starring Christopher de Leon, Dawn Zulueta, and Amy Austria at the ongoing Sagip Pelikula Festival on KTX.

Directed by Jose Mari Avellana from the screenplay of Bibeth Orteza and Oscar Miranda, the film brings to life the story of Tony (Christopher) and Marissa (Dawn), a happily married couple with an adorable only child named Charina (Sarah Jane Abad).

Their lives take a turn with Tony’s political ambitions, while Marissa reluctantly supports her husband’s pursuit into office. Marissa’s long-time friend, Sylvia (Amy Austria) becomes their campaign manager but eventually meddles with their tight-knit family. On the verge of breaking up, the family encounters another problem as Charina becomes diagnosed with a life-threatening case of leukemia.

Pilar Pilapil, Sarah Jane Abad, Benjie Ledesma, Gamaliel Viray, and Mark Vergel De Dios also star in the critically acclaimed movie.

Online viewers can also catch Dawn Zulueta and its writer Bibeth Orteza during its pre-show showing before every screening. Tickets are now available at https://bit.ly/KMKPonKTX for only P150.

Apart from “Kung Mawawala Ka Pa,” today’s viewers can catch more restored films of award-winning actress Dawn Zulueta and acclaimed screenwriter Bibeth Orteza, including “Saan Ka Man Naroroon,” “Hihintayin Kita sa Langit,” “Ligaya Ang Itawag Mo sa Akin,” “Ang Lalaki sa Buhay ni Selya,” “Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara,” and “Inagaw Mo ang Lahat sa Akin” on KTX.
