Pantawid ng Pag-ibig: Pilipino Para Sa Pilipino—An Oath to Help Filipinos

One of the core essences of the Filipino culture is Bayanihan in which us Filipinos help one another in times of need and where compassion and altruism can be observed.

In these trying times, the pandemic has showed no signs of slowing down and ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. (AFI) have noticed this predicament and has launched the newest addition to their campaign ‘Pantawin ng Pag-ibig’ campaign.

“Pilipino Para Sa Pilipino” is an effort to cater to those who have been laid off due to COVID and are struggling for food and necessity needs. It seeks to provide the quickest and the most meaningful assistance to those families who need it most with food packs and hot meals.

“The longer we are not able to go out to work or to school, the greater the chance that more businesses will shut down, adding to the growing number of people unemployed,” Roberta Lopez-Feliciano, ABS-CBN Foundation managing director, shared her thoughts regarding the unfortunate situation, “Therefore there will be more people in need of food and basic necessities, and we will commit our best efforts to reach out to these affected families, so your donations can support as many people as we can.” she added.

Under the campaign, the AFI has purchased food and basic necessities to families in need and has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to hospitals around NCR and other provinces.

To contribute to this meaningful agenda, you can use electronic wallet services such as GCash and PayMaya or vouchers available in Grab or Lazada. Donations via selected online banking channels are also accepted.

Over PHP 500 Million in cash and in-kind donations from corporate to individual donors since the start of “Pantawid ng Pag-ibig” progam has helped more than 920,000 families nationwide.
