Lenovo Legion S7I, the sleek beast!

Whether you’re an editor, artist, creator, or a gamer the Lenovo Legion S7i will surely meet your needs but, what’s the catch?

Upon opening the box the very first thing I noticed about it is its very thin form factor. It’s also pretty minimalistic with its design, no flashy red accents or very aggressive shapes, just a plain matte grey laptop with a light up logo, which isn’t a bad thing. It’s great if you wanna be lowkey in a coffee shop or if you just want to bring it to work.

The Lenovo Legion S7i is a very capable laptop. With its rtx 2060 max-Q and a 10th gen intel core i7 processor. Tasks like video editing, 3d rendering, and gaming will run pretty smoothly. It also has a 1080p 144hz screen with a 5ms response time which makes it really good for competitive games like CS:GO or Valorant.

I also tried rendering with blender and it was a really good experience, not only do final images render quickly, but even previewing is very fast. Previewing in 3d is very important since shading and rendering is mostly an iterative process, this laptop delivers previews in just a few seconds which makes doing 3d work a lot more enjoyable.

So what are the cons of a laptop like this? Well, it runs really hot. When I tried playing games like valorant, the CPU measured at around 95°C and the GPU was around 85°C. The fans are also pretty loud, when you’re just wearing headphones you’ll never hear them, but if you’re in a place where you need to be super silent, maybe don’t bring this laptop with you.

So should you consider buying it? yeah, aside from the high temperatures, it’s pretty fast and is also pretty thin and light. In conclusion, the Lenovo Legion S7i is a powerful, but hot gaming laptop.
