JobStreet and DTI offers 75,000+ jobs in the much-awaited Virtual Career Fair

As the Philippine Independence Day comes fast approaching, JobStreet, the largest and leading employment company, has partnered with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to once provide Filipinos the opportunity to apply and be equipped for occupations. This will be made possible through its week-long Virtual Career Fair, commencing on June 13 to 17, 2022.

The decline in the workforce was at a high point, especially when the pandemic occurred. Almost 4.6 million Filipinos quit their jobs resulting in an increase in the unemployment rate. Due to this, JobStreet indicated during its launch that the collaboration with DTI aims to fulfill job demands in the country by empowering and celebrating freedom — choosing a path fit to their way of living in consideration of every individual’s priorities.

What to Expect

In this Virtual Career Fair, businesses and companies all over Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao have gathered to cater this initiative; to name a few: ePLDT, JPMorgan Chase Bank, BDO Unibank, SM Retail, IBM, ABS-CBN, Accenture, Wilcon Depot, Converge, Amazon, and more. In relation to this, more than 75,000 jobs are available including remote, provincial, and entry-level ones!

For those who are interested in a work-from-home (WFH) setup, 44 companies will partake, offering over 24,000 jobs on JobStreet. Leading roles and titles are Encoder, Engineer, Office Staff, Virtual Assistant, Accountant, Architect, Information Technology, and Non-Voice.

As for Luzon-based jobs, there will be 120 companies joining as well in the said Virtual Career Fair with over 53,000 jobs at hand. Here, Teacher, Administrative Assistant, Administrative Officer, System Developer, Medical Staff, and Sales are the top roles.

Moreover, VisMin-based jobs will have 68 companies taking part too, accommodating 15,500 and more jobs. Customer Service Representative, Sales, Teacher, Engineer, Administrative Assistant, and System Developer are the ones leading in the area.

Fresh graduates are also welcome and will be accommodated as entry-level roles are present too! 109 companies will play a part in handing out opportunities, having beyond 58,500 jobs within reach. Top entry-level roles include Customer Service Representative, Administrative Assistant, Sales, Office Staff, and Information Technology.

“How can you ensure that this Virtual Career Fair will reach people, especially in remote areas? What are the preparations for this one?”

“…we also realized that not everyone can have the same level of internet access as their neighbor. And that is why we made it sure, as part of our pillars, what we’re offering here in our Virtual Career Fair, it’s not going to be on a single channel, it’s not purely going to be on mobile, it’s purely not going to be on the app, it’s not going to be purely in the desktop. […] We’re offering all these available channels for our candidates. We’re trying to make sure that everything is available,” Rafael Dela Cruz, Candidate Marketing Lead, reassured.

In just a few more days, the Virtual Career Fair will now officially launch! Hop on and explore various jobs, learn various lessons, and gain a foundation for your career path. JobStreet Philippines and DTI are excited for you!
