Looking back, the past year has been marked by substantial growth and significant advancements for Epson Philippines. The company achieved an outstanding 8% year-over-year growth in 2022, with notable contributions from its CAD, projectors, scanners, and signage segments, which bolstered its market share. Additionally, Epson’s continuous ink supply system (CISS) products played a crucial role in driving revenue and sales, resulting in a commendable 3% year-over-year growth in 2022.

However, Epson is not resting on its laurels. As it looks forward to 2023, the company has set even higher aspirations. Aiming to drive B2B transformation, Epson Philippines plans to harness the potential of digital technologies and optimize operations. With a firm commitment to strengthen its B2B product offerings, Epson aims to elevate its year-over-year growth to an ambitious target of 12% for 2023. The company is poised to continue its upward trajectory and further solidify its position as a market leader in the coming year.

Introducing innovations to boost growth in 2023

Renan Lacson, the Senior Manager for Product Management at Epson, proudly announced that the company maintains its top position in the market share. According to data from the International Data Corporation (IDC), Epson continued to assert its dominance across various product categories in 2022. Notably, Epson secured an impressive 51% market share for inkjet printers, 67% for ColorWorks printers, 36% for CAD solutions, and a staggering 83% for photo printers. Furthermore, Epson emerged as the number one choice for POS printers, textile printers, scanners, and high brightness projectors.

Looking ahead to 2023, Lacson revealed Epson’s exciting product lineup, featuring a diverse mix of offerings tailored for both B2B and B2C markets. Among the highlights are the SurePress industrial printer range, showcasing a water-based inkjet digital label press and a digital UV label press. Additionally, customers can look forward to large format printers and new dye sublimation printers from the SureColor R-Series. Epson also plans to introduce cutting-edge business inkjet printers and home/office smart projectors, boasting high image quality.

Lacson emphasized that while these product releases cater to different needs and markets, they all share a common thread of guaranteeing consistent, high-quality, and high-speed performance. Epson remains committed to ensuring reliability, flexibility, and top-notch performance in all their offerings, while upholding their dedication to sustainability and responsible practices.

Taking sustainable operations to the next level in the Philippines

Firstly, for Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, Epson will actively promote sustainable products, services, and practices. Secondly, to support Responsible Consumption and Production, Epson will play its part in reducing waste generated from its own products in the Philippine market. This includes active participation in the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ Extended Producers Responsibility Act and forming partnerships with recyclers and non-governmental organizations dedicated to reducing plastic and packaging recycling. Finally, Epson aims to foster partnerships and expand its network to advocate sustainability to a broader audience, solidifying its position as a thought leader in sustainability within the tech industry, in alignment with the Partnership for the Goals SDG.
