ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has unveiled the 2024 lineup of Strix laptops, introducing the Strix SCAR 18 as the first 18-inch ROG laptop featuring the mini–LED ROG Nebula HDR Display. Positioned at the forefront of gaming laptops, all 2024 Strix models are powered by the latest flagship Intel® Core™ i9 processor 14900HX, while the Strix SCAR 18 offers up to an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4090 Laptop GPU with 175 W max TGP. Enhanced with a comprehensive array of intelligent cooling advancements, including Tri-Fan technology and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal on both the CPU and GPU, the 2024 Strix laptop series has arrived to set new standards in performance and dominance over the competition.

2024 marks the debut of the first ROG 18-inch display powered by Mini LED technology. The arrival of the 2024 Strix SCAR 18 brings HDR content and games to the big screen, featuring the Nebula HDR Display with over 2000 discrete dimming zones and a peak brightness of 1100 nits. This high dimming zone density, combined with the ROG Nebula HDR Engine, minimizes blooming and haloing even in challenging scenes, delivering incredibly vivid HDR performance to the Strix SCAR 18.
While the ROG Nebula HDR panels are exclusive to the Strix SCAR line, all displays in the 2024 Strix family offer stunning visuals. Each model boasts a 2.5K panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate and under 3 ms gray-to-gray (GTG) response time, providing gamers with exceptional visual experiences. Cooler than cool
ROG Strix laptops are at the forefront of cooling innovations, ensuring consistent peak gaming performance. The 2024 Strix SCAR and Strix G models feature Tri-Fan technology, incorporating a third auxiliary fan to enhance airflow to surface-mounted motherboard components while directing excess heat from the GPU towards the heatsinks. Moreover, all ROG laptops utilize liquid metal as the thermal interface between the CPU and heatsinks, but the entire 2024 Strix lineup is equipped with ultra-high-performance Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal. This results in significantly reduced temperatures compared to traditional thermal pastes, enabling the Strix machines to achieve higher and sustained boosts in performance while ensuring optimal performance over the long term.
