ASUS Republic of Gamers Reveals Fully Equipped Laptops at CES 2023

Brand new machines debut, while ROG Nebula Displays and ROG Intelligent Cooling continue to push the boundaries of innovation

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has unveiled its new lineup of laptops for 2023, featuring the latest CPUs and GPUs from AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA, as well as significant enhancements to its Intelligent Cooling Technology. The 2023 Strix family includes new models with improved cooling and larger 16- and 18-inch screens, the new Zephyrus M16 comes equipped with an AniMe Matrix display, and the redesigned Flow X13 and XG Mobile have both been upgraded to take advantage of the latest hardware.

All-new CPUs and GPUs max out horsepower

For 2023, ROG has equipped all of its models with the latest hardware from its partners. The brand new 13th Gen processors from Intel offer a mix of Performance and Efficient cores, while the new AMD Ryzen Zen 4 processors have increased core counts. The GeForce RTX 40 Series Laptop GPUs from NVIDIA provide impressive rasterization performance and additional features such as DLSS 3 and AV1 encoding. Combined with top-of-the-line gaming displays and superior cooling solutions, ROG is continuing to set the bar for laptop gaming performance.

Improved Nebula Displays and Intelligent cooling grace every series

ROG understands that powerful graphics are nothing without high-quality displays. That’s why the company created the Nebula badge in 2022, which designates panels that meet strict standards for fast motion, bright backlights, and vibrant colors.

In 2023, ROG is bringing Nebula Displays to even more models in a variety of form factors. From a compact 13-inch laptop to an immersive 18-inch display, you won’t find Nebula Displays anywhere else.

ROG has also improved its Intelligent Cooling technology, a comprehensive solution that carefully balances cooling performance with noise levels. Efficient cooling is essential for gaming laptops, as high-powered hardware with inadequate cooling capacity will not perform as well or for as long as it should. In 2023, ROG is introducing two key innovations to more laptops: a larger full-width heatsink and Tri-Fan Technology, which were introduced on the Flow X16 last year.

The upgraded heatsink design spans the entire rear of the chassis on certain devices, greatly increasing surface area compared to traditional designs that only have half-sized fins near half-sized exhaust vents. This heatsink has been added to the redesigned Zephyrus M16 for 2023, while the Strix 16-inch and 18-inch models feature an extra-thick variant of the design, providing even more performance headroom for these powerful gaming laptops. As the name suggests, Tri-Fan Technology adds a third fan to the thermal design, providing vital airflow to internal components and helping the GPU to dissipate heat more efficiently. When paired with the new full.

ROG Strix continues to define gaming leadership

The Strix SCAR 16 and 18 are also equipped with the latest in connectivity and I/O, including the latest Wi-Fi 6E and Thunderbolt™ 4 technology, as well as a full-size SD card reader and HDMI 2.1 output. With these features, the Strix SCAR 16 and 18 are ready to take on any task, from streaming to content creation to the latest games.

In addition to the new Strix SCAR 16 and 18, ROG is also introducing the redesigned Zephyrus M16, a thin-and-light gaming laptop that packs a punch. The new design features a sleek magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis, and is equipped with the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-Series Laptop GPUs. The Zephyrus M16 also features the new AniMe Matrix display, a customizable LED array that can display static or animated graphics on the laptop’s lid.

Finally, the Flow X13 and XG Mobile have been upgraded to take advantage of the latest hardware. The Flow X13 now features a more powerful version of AMD’s Ryzen processors, while the XG Mobile can be equipped with the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics. Both laptops feature ROG’s intelligent cooling technology, ensuring that the hardware can reach its full potential without overheating.

Overall, the 2023 lineup from ROG is a testament to the company’s dedication to providing the best gaming laptops on the market. With top-of-the-line hardware, beautiful displays, and advanced cooling technology, ROG’s laptops are ready to take on any task.

The 2023 upgrades don’t stop with the SCAR family. The new Strix G16 and Strix G18 are equipped with the same 13th Gen Intel Core i9 processor, and can be configured with powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-Series Laptop GPU for excellent esports performance. With up to an AMD’s Ryzen™ Zen 4 processor is an absolute beast for gaming and content creation alike, so the Strix G17 and Strix SCAR 17 have both been refreshed with this monster CPU. Combined with NVIDIA’s latest GeForce RTX 40-Series Laptop GPU in the top-tier models, the entire 2023 Strix lineup is ready to rain fire down on the competition.
