I was invited by ABS CBN & Star Cinemas to the bloggers’conference (BlogCon) of their 1st movie for 2014 Bride for Rent. Here is my coverage of the event.
About the Movie
This movie directed by box-office director Mae Czarina Cruz, is a romantic comedy starring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim. It is the most awaited movie reunion of Kim and Xian, one of the hottest love team in the showbiz industry today.
It is a love story about Rocco Espiritu (Lim) and Rocky Espiritu (Kim) who are both in desperate need of money. Rocco needs to tie the knot to have access to his trust fund while Rocky is desperate for cash to pay their rent or otherwise she and her family will be homeless. They connive to get married so that Rocco can have his inheritance and Rocky gets her “talent fee” to pay her rent and loans.
Will their plan work or it will backfire with the possibility of them developing feelings and really fall in love to each other?
This is Kim’s and Xian’s first moive collaboration after their 2013 box office hit Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?
Bride for Rent is showing in Philippine cinemas from January 15, 2014.
