Coverage of David Cook In Manila Concert July 2012

The actual concert set list of David Cook Live in Manila 2012

David Cook Live in Manila!  David rocked the Smart Araneta Coliseum crowd when he played the above set list for his Filipino fans last July 14, 2012.

I got invited to the David Cook Live in Manila Bloggers event at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.  The Big Dome is currently promoting their new ticketing system, TicketNet Online.

Tickets can now be secured in these easy steps

  1. Log on to www.ticketnet.com.ph
  2. Choose your show and click on “Order Tickets Now”. Click on “View Seating Chart”. Indicate the number of tickets.
  3. Pay thru your credit card and print your tickets.

I have not been to the Big Dome for decades since I was in the Middle East for the last 25 years.  I’m really impressed to feel the “Arena” atmosphere of the Big Dome. They are currently undergoing “Extereme Transformation”.  While keeping the historic architecture and features of the Big Dome, facilities are being modernized.

There is no better way to experience the Big Dome than attending a live concert.  It has been the concert venue for top music acts like Black Eyed Peas, Maroon 5, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Lifehouse, and Incubus to name a few.

Up-coming Concert Events at the Big Dome

The Concert

The main concert started almost 8:50 pm.   Since I have an all access stamp, I decided to go to the front of the stage a bit off the center to get a better angle of the concert and camped there before fans build up at the front of the stage.

David performed mostly numbers from his David Cook and This Loud Morning albums.

One of the unexpected surprise for me is when they played 2 Led Zeppelin numbers back to back: Rock & Roll and Whole Lotta Love.  It just shows how versatile and talented David is.

Kudos to Dayly Entertainment as well for bringing great talents to perform here in the Philippines.

VIDEOS

The following videos contains the song and in the between footage to  give a more complete feel of the concert.  Most of the videos were sliced as a single song but some were grouped for continuity.  Apologies for a few partially incomplete songs.

Opening Number: Circadian  (HD)

Heroes (with Champagne Supernova) (HD)
