Championing Filipino Creativity: Globe Leads Way with G Creator Con

Filipinos recently had the opportunity to tap into their creative potential and embark on their journey as content creators at the recently concluded G Creator Con. The event took place simultaneously at The Globe Tower, BGC Amphitheater, and Globe Creator House on September 17.

This groundbreaking event marked the inaugural G Creator Con hosted by Globe, bringing together aspiring content creators, influencers, and industry experts to exchange insights, network, and gain valuable insights into the digital content landscape.

The Globe Creator House, a cutting-edge studio open to content creators for portfolio building and content creation, is welcoming customers until September 30. Powered by Globe, BGC underwent a transformation into an Art & Tech City, featuring various talks, booths, and programs aimed at unlocking the potential of Filipinos in music, content creation, design, and technology.

The event featured experts and personalities from diverse fields as speakers and panelists. They shared their experiences as creators, covering topics like the creative process, content production, mentorship, marketing, and authenticity.

Creator Talks included speakers from industry experts such as Issang Ceballos, Client Solutions & Video Lead for Meta Philippines; Mauro Daez, NABU Country Lead; and Pablo Mendoza, YouTube Country Lead for PH. They provided insights into the essential aspects of writing, producing, and marketing content, which proved invaluable for aspiring content creators.

Notable personalities and thought leaders also participated in panel discussions. Miss Trans Global 2020 Mela Habijan discussed diversity and inclusivity, highlighting the talent and diversity within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Actress and multifaceted Creator Nadine Lustre, who recently won Best Actress at the FAMAS 2023, emphasized the importance of authenticity as a content creator. She was joined by Cinemalaya 2023 Best Actress Pat Tingjuy and visual artist and content creator Raco Ruiz. Nadine encouraged aspiring content creators not to give up on their dreams, stressing the role of timing in achieving success.

Pio Dumayas, lead vocalist of Lola Amour, shared his unique perspective on overcoming mental blocks and generously shared his creative process with attendees. Other speakers during the Creator Talks included industry leaders and experts from JobStreet by SEEK, DTI Design Center, MYX, Social Media Marketing PH, and Bitskwela.

The panel discussions also featured Drag Race Philippines Season 1 contestant Eva Le Queen and Miss Grand International 5th Runner-up Roberta Tamondong.

Fun and interactive activities were organized by KROMA Entertainment, NABU, Kumu, Samsung, and JobStreet by SEEK. GNY, Carissa, and Clara Benin brought the event to a close with their musical performances at the BGC Amphitheater.
