Here are some tips for registering and joining the competition:

1. Be Informed and Updated about the Competition and Registration Rules

Visit these websites/pages below for more info and updates about the competition and registration info:

Canon Photomarathon Website
Canon Philippines Facebook Page
Canon Image Nation Website

Know the requirements and have them ready for the pre-registration.

2. Register Early

Please make sure that you register early since there are limited number of contestants allowed to join the competition. If the registration closes when it reaches its target number of contestants, you can only be wait listed by going to the day of the event and hope that some pre-registered applicants will not come.

Since the online registration starts 9 a.m. on Nov. 22., I suggest you go to the website as early as 1-2 hours ahead (in case it opens earlier) and keep visiting until it opens and you successfully register.  Be patient since there will be a lot of people who will try to register as soon as site opens.  Hopefully, Canon Philippines have learned from the lessons of the past online registrations so they will keep the registration process fast and pleasant.  The registration process might last only for a few days so don’t delay.

3. Wait for the confirmation e-mail

After registering on-line, you will receive an e-mail that advises you of your successful pre-registration only. They have still to verify your serial number if the camera has been bought from Canon Philippines authorized dealers. This determines if you have to pay the Php 500.

After a few days, and the verification process, successful registrants will receive a confirmation email via email address provided in the registration.  Should there be any issues or concerns, the organizers will contact you thru contact details provided.

Don’t miss this event.  The prizes are really fantastic. The freebees like T-shirt, and caps are treasured souvenir items of the event.  There’s even a raffle with great prizes.

Hope to see you there on December 8 at Fort Santiago for a day of photography and fun!
