Breaking Dawn Part 2 Advance Screening Coverage and Review

I saw the advance screening of Breaking Dawn Part 2 at the Gateway Cineplex last Nov. 14, 2012 courtesy of Araneta Center marketing. The movie is the last installment of the Twilight Saga starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner.

The Cinema 5 of the Gateway Cineplex was the venue for the advance screening. It’s one of the best movie theater for premieres because of its size and quality of the projection and the sound. It’s a good place to watch movies during regular screenings as well.

The cinemas was packed. There was a program before the screening started courtesy of the sponsors of the movie. The program was hosted by Mellow 94.7 Djs Kyle and Ingrid.

The movie started and the crowd (including me) enjoyed the mix of romance, comedy, action scenes of the movie. The climax was the fight between Team Bella vs the Volturi. It was an epic battle that really keeps you at the edge of your seat.  The crowd appreciated the fight scenes gripped initially by silence, to cheering of support.

At the end of the movie, the crowd clapped and almost gave a standing ovation. I can hear from the talks and the chatter that the audience had a great time.  I managed to interview some of the audiences for reactions to the movie.

I rate it 5/5 for its entertainment value and a must see for any Twilight Saga fan.  It’s the culmination of saga, and ending that will make this franchise unforgetable!

Here are some of the reviews of what the international press have to say about the movie:

Early Reviews from Foreign Press (Source)

Variety

“A doozy of a finale to a series that, until now, has largely taken its dramatic cues from its maddeningly inert heroine. Not anymore: With Bella reborn as a bloodthirsty, butt-kicking vampire mama, this second of two Bill Condon-directed instalments clears a low bar to stand easily as the franchise’s most eventful and exciting entry.”

The Hollywood Reporter

“The final instalment of the immortal Bella/Edward romance will give its breathlessly awaiting international audience just what it wants. “

The Sun

“The end to Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen’s (Robert Pattinson) saga is far superior to the penultimate film, which should have been titled Breaking Yawn. There’s some proper action here for any lads willing to sit through it with their girlfriends – including some touching decapitation scenes.”
