AirAsia Philippines is maintaining its competitive ticket pricing and enhancing the travel experience for guests, particularly with summer approaching rapidly. This effort comes in light of various factors affecting travel in 2024, such as inflation and fuel prices.

As the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline, AirAsia is taking measures to mitigate the impact of fluctuating fuel prices, following the Civil Aeronautics Board of the Philippines (CAB) memorandum announcing an increase in the Fuel Surcharge to Level 6 from the current Level 5, effective March. Depending on the destination, this level 6 Fuel Surcharge would translate to an additional PHP185 to PHP665 for domestic flights and PHP 610.37 to PHP 949.51 for international flights. However, the airline assures guests that tickets purchased this month will not be subject to the Fuel Surcharge next month.

“AirAsia Philippines remains committed to diversifying its product offerings to meet the evolving needs of our guests, especially the Gen Y and Z demographics who are anticipated to travel more this year and will be seeking the best deals to save money,” shared AirAsia’s Head of Communications and Public Affairs, First Officer Steve Dailisan.

As of February, Boracay, Cebu, Bohol, and Puerto Princesa continue to be the top domestic destinations travelers are eager to visit, while Bangkok, Incheon, Taipei, Narita, and Osaka remain on their international travel bucket list.

In an effort to make travel more affordable, AirAsia Philippines is launching its first PISO Sale for 2024. From February 19 to 25, guests can enjoy a one-way base fare of PHP 1 for all domestic and international destinations for flights from September 1, 2024, to June 18, 2025. Over 300,000 seats will be available for flights originating from AirAsia’s Manila, Cebu, and Clark hubs.

“The PISO Sale underscores our commitment to providing affordable flights to our guests, especially those on tight budgets who still desire a memorable travel experience. We encourage our guests to stay informed about exciting promos and deals for flights, hotels, meals, and other ancillary products by visiting our legitimate platforms – Fly AirAsia (Facebook), Superapp (MOVE), or AirAsia’s official website (www.airasia.com),” added Dailisan.
