The premiere of “Idol Kids Philippines” is off to an emotional and heartwarming start, capturing the hearts of netizens and viewers nationwide with touching stories, powerful performances, and charming young talents.

Among the instant fan favorites is seven-year-old Gab from Parañaque City, who melted hearts and went viral after sweetly asking Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid if she could adopt him. The light-hearted moment has now amassed nearly 11 million views across social media. Gab’s endearing personality and soulful rendition of “Kumusta Ka” secured him a spot in the midrounds, winning over both judges and fans.

Nine-year-old Alexa from Laguna also stole the spotlight with her electrifying performance of “Nosi Balasi.” Her stage presence and energy earned her four resounding “yes” votes from the judges and a ticket to the next round.

Another standout was Liam, 7, from Sta. Cruz, Laguna, who opened the season as the first contestant to face the judges. His heartfelt version of JK Labajo’s “Buwan” earned unanimous approval—plus a surprise duet with none other than JK himself, making it a moment to remember.

But it was Kiefer, a 7-year-old from Pangasinan, who left everyone teary-eyed. Singing “May Bukas Pa,” Kiefer shared his dream of helping his father afford a prosthetic eye. Though he didn’t advance to the next round, all four judges promised to cover the full cost of his father’s treatment—turning Kiefer’s moment into one of true compassion and hope.

The show’s debut weekend drew strong online buzz, with its premiere episodes on June 28 and 29 reaching over 270,000 peak concurrent viewers across digital platforms.
