Romance takes center stage this May as Venice Grand Canal Mall transforms into a living love story with “A Symphony of Love and Summer,” a month-long celebration inspired by the timeless tale of Romeo and Juliet. Set against its iconic canal and Venetian-inspired architecture, the destination invites guests to immerse themselves in a season of music, poetry, and heartfelt experiences.
Blending classic storytelling with modern-day moments, the event reimagines romance through a series of curated performances and interactive activities that capture love in all its forms.
Serenades, poetry, and timeless romance
Weekends come alive with Venetian Serenade, happening on May 16–17, 23–24, and 30–31 at 7:00 PM. Opera singers and acoustic duos perform from second-floor balconies, filling the air with romantic melodies as guests stroll, dine, or glide along the canal on gondolas.
At the same time, Expressions of Love adds a poetic touch, featuring a period-dressed poet aboard a decorated gondola. Reciting Shakespearean sonnets and romantic verses, the performance brings the elegance of courtly romance to life—offering visitors a glimpse into love stories that transcend time.
A classic tale, reimagined
Highlighting the celebration is “Romeo and Juliet: The Story Reimagined,” staged on May 23 and May 30 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the canal area. This fresh theatrical interpretation breathes new life into Shakespeare’s iconic narrative, delivering a captivating performance that resonates with today’s audience while honoring its classic roots.
Moments to share and remember
Throughout the month, guests can take part in Echoes of the Heart, an interactive installation where they can write letters—whether love notes, personal reflections, or stories of heartbreak—turning the space into a collective expression of emotion and memory.
Meanwhile, Sips and Stories (May 15–31, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM) offers a more relaxed experience, pairing refreshing summer drinks with light storytelling sessions in a laid-back, Mediterranean-inspired setting.
