TP in the Philippines (formerly Teleperformance), a global leader in digital business services, reinforced its commitment to cultural inclusion and community engagement through its vibrant participation in the annual Bacolaodiat Festival in Bacolod City.

Held in celebration of the Chinese New Year, the colorful festival brought together thousands of residents and visitors in a lively showcase of Filipino-Chinese heritage, traditions, and shared history at the heart of the city.
Organized by the Bacolod local government in partnership with the city’s Filipino-Chinese community, the three-day festival has grown into one of Bacolod’s most anticipated cultural celebrations. The event features traditional performances, food fairs, corporate booths, and cultural exhibits highlighting themes of prosperity, unity, and goodwill.
Building on its successful participation last year, TP in the Philippines expanded its presence in this year’s festivities with a series of interactive and immersive experience booths designed to engage festivalgoers of all ages. Through culturally inspired visuals, storytelling elements, and hands-on activities, the installations celebrated the significance and traditions of the Chinese New Year.
“Bacolod has been one of TP’s key hubs in the Philippines for many years, and our presence at the Bacolaodiat Festival reflects our deep roots in the city,” said Levi Trio, Senior Marketing Manager of TP in the Philippines. “We invested in this celebration not only to honor its rich cultural heritage, but also to reaffirm our long-term commitment to a community that has played a vital role in our growth—bringing together tradition and innovation in a way that reflects who we are today.”
Festival guests were invited to take part in engaging activities, including the Interactive Zodiac Match Game, a digital challenge where players raced against time to match the 12 Chinese Zodiac signs. Visitors could also explore the tech-forward “Fortune & Frosting” Virtual Tarot Reading booth, while lucky participants had the chance to win exclusive TP merchandise through the Virtual Lucky Ang Pau experience.
From photo-worthy installations inspired by Chinese symbols of luck and abundance to interactive games and community-centered activities, TP’s booths quickly became a crowd favorite throughout the celebration, drawing families, young professionals, and cultural enthusiasts alike.
TP’s continued support of the Bacolaodiat Festival highlights the company’s dedication to celebrating diversity and strengthening the communities where it operates. Its Bacolod site, established in 2006, has provided employment opportunities to over a thousand residents in the city and nearby areas for nearly two decades.
“For us at TP, actively participating in local cultural events is a way of honoring traditions and identities that strengthen community ties and promote mutual respect,” said Jeffrey Johnson, Chief People Officer of TP in the Philippines. “As the Bacolaodiat Festival continues to grow in scale and significance, we remain committed to celebrating milestones alongside the communities we serve. Through initiatives that promote heritage, inclusion, and connection, we reinforce our role not only as an employer but as a true community partner in Bacolod.”
