A great night out in the city should be all about unwinding and enjoying the experience, which means time spent at the ticket counter should feel like a quick pitstop rather than a time-consuming chore. Now, reclaiming that pre-show excitement is easier for fans of film and live entertainment as TicketNet and Gateway Cineplex 18 officially roll out support for Apple Pay for onsite, over-the-counter payments.
The integration gives customers a more convenient way to secure tickets at physical booth windows, adding another payment option to the traditional cash and physical credit card methods.
With Apple Pay, TicketNet customers can enjoy greater flexibility when making onsite purchases. Whether they prefer to travel light or simply want a secure way to check out, they can now pay using the digital cards already stored on their personal devices.
Making the Pre-Show Experience More Effortless
The integration of Apple Pay forms part of TicketNet’s ongoing efforts to make pre-show preparations as seamless as possible.
By adopting fast, contactless technology, the platform aims to address common pain points associated with traditional ticket lines—from searching through bags for a wallet to waiting for card terminals to process transactions and print receipts.
With a quick Face ID scan, transactions can be authorized in a fraction of a second, helping physical ticket queues move faster for spontaneous moviegoers and organized event planners alike.
“At TicketNet, our goal has always been to modernize the local entertainment infrastructure by meeting our patrons exactly where they are digitally. Integrating Apple Pay at our physical box offices removes unnecessary friction, ensuring that securing a ticket is just as swift and enjoyable as the show itself,” said Irene L. Jose, Chief Operating Officer of Uniprom, the entertainment arm of the Araneta Group.
