The fifth and final season of The Boys, from Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on April 8, 2026

Prime Video delivered a thunderous moment at CCXP Brazil as more than 3,000 fans filled the Thunder Stage on December 6 for a diabolical reveal: The Boys will return for its fifth and final season on April 8, 2026.

The announcement was made during a high-energy panel led by showrunner and executive producer Eric Kripke, joined by series stars Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, Tomer Capone, and Colby Minifie. Together, they took fans on a wild ride through the series’ most shocking and unforgettable moments before unveiling an explosive official teaser—offering the first glimpse of the show’s brutal and epic final chapter.

The multi-Emmy Award-winning series will premiere with two episodes on April 8, 2026, followed by weekly episode releases, leading to the highly anticipated series finale on May 20, 2026. Season Five will stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

In the final season, the world has fully fallen under Homelander’s control, ruled by his volatile and unchecked ego. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a so-called “Freedom Camp,” while Annie struggles to organize resistance against the overwhelming dominance of Supes. Kimiko’s whereabouts remain unknown, and the balance of power teeters on the edge—until Butcher resurfaces, armed with a virus capable of wiping Supes off the face of the earth. His return ignites a chain reaction that threatens to change the world forever. This is the climax. Everything is on the line.

Based on the New York Times best-selling comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys is developed by showrunner Eric Kripke, who also serves as executive producer alongside Ennis and Robertson.
