Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino Lead a Stellar Ensemble Cast in a Story of Love, Power, and Dangerous Secrets
Prime Video has officially announced that The Alibi, Dreamscape Entertainment’s much-anticipated romantic thriller starring Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, will premiere on November 7. New episodes will drop weekly in the Philippines and across more than 240 countries and territories, exclusively on Prime Video.
A story where love and deception intertwine, The Alibi unfolds in a world driven by power, ambition, and betrayal — where the truth is never what it seems.
At its core is Vincent Cabrera (Avelino), the heir to a powerful media empire who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of his rival, Walter Cunanan (Sam Milby). In a desperate bid to save his name and his family’s reputation, Vincent enlists Stella Morales (Chiu), a star dancer burdened by a dark past, to pose as his alibi.
What begins as a calculated deal soon spirals into an emotional collision — a dangerous relationship that blurs the line between truth and survival. As their bond deepens, Vincent and Stella find themselves trapped in a web of secrets that threaten to destroy not only them but the powerful families they are bound to.
The Cabreras, an influential dynasty built on media control and manipulation, fight to maintain their perfect façade while concealing decades of deceit. Meanwhile, Stella’s own fractured family becomes entangled in a world of wealth, corruption, and vengeance — one they were never meant to enter.
