Marking the company’s 29th location in the country, Teleperformance’s second Pasay hub arrives at a time when artificial intelligence is actively reshaping client requirements across the Philippine IT-BPM landscape.

PASAY CITY, Philippines — Global digital business services giant TP has reinforced its commitment to local workforce development by launching its 29th facility in the country, further expanding its Philippine operations.
The new facility, housed at the Four E-Com Center in the SM Mall of Asia complex, will bring upwards of 1,000 new employment opportunities to the area. It expands TP’s established presence in Pasay City, joining the existing MAAX Building site where over 5,000 TP professionals are already based.
To support its growing list of international clients expanding locally, the new site will provide a sophisticated mix of human insight and advanced digital capabilities. The move comes as global enterprises shift toward unified operations that leverage both human expertise and AI to handle intricate customer management.
“Our expansion in Pasay reflects our global clients’ continued confidence in the Philippines and in Filipino talent’s ability to thrive with technology,” said Rahul Jolly, CEO of TP in the Philippines. “AI is reshaping work while expanding what people can achieve. For TP, the opportunity is to combine AI with our people’s expertise and emotional intelligence, empowering them to take on more complex work.”
Contrary to initial anxieties surrounding an AI-induced “job apocalypse,” the Philippine IT-BPM sector remains highly resilient, according to HSBC Global Investment Research. Local employment and business-service export revenues are actively climbing despite the integration of generative AI. Experts point out that instead of replacing humans, the technology serves as a competitive advantage that improves worker productivity, optimizes quality assurance, and strengthens decentralized operations.
Rather than eliminating entire job sectors overnight, AI is shifting how work gets done by altering daily tasks and operational workflows. As automated systems take over repetitive duties, human professionals are focusing more on complex areas that require human judgment, niche expertise, and the monitoring of AI systems. Consequently, organizations are placing a premium on skill sets tied to AI-powered operations, advanced analytics, and systemic workflow redesign.
Data from the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) reveals that the local IT-BPM sector maintained its upward trajectory even through the initial surge of generative AI integration. By 2025, the industry generated roughly US$40.3 billion in revenue and employed 1.89 million Filipinos. Furthermore, the country’s global footprint expanded during this period, with its share of the worldwide IT-BPM headcount climbing from 15% in 2022 to 17% in 2025.
Though competitive pricing and workforce scalability continue to anchor the Philippine value proposition, global enterprises are demanding more sophisticated, value-driven offerings. Client expectations are evolving toward an integrated delivery model—one that harmonizes human talent with AI infrastructure and specialized industry knowledge to take on complex, high-value operations and elevate business outcomes.
This approach aligns with TP’s overarching philosophy that AI is transitioning from a mere cost-cutting tool into a driver of new business opportunities, powered by a unified, hybrid workforce where human specialists and AI systems collaborate. As automated systems take over predictable, routine duties, the role of human staff is shifting heavily toward managing intricate customer needs, critical problem-solving, building client relationships, and monitoring AI-driven workflows.
Prominent local officials and business executives gathered for the hub’s official opening, featuring Pasay City Mayor Chief-of-Staff Atty. Peter Pardo and SM Prime Holdings VP Alexis Ortiga. Key outsourcing community leaders in attendance included JL Botor (IBPAP Board Trustee and HIMAP President), Genny Marcial from IBPAP, and Roselle Guinares and Aissa Benitez representing CXAP. PEZA Director General Theo Panga also delivered a pre-recorded address played during the inauguration.
“The IT-BPM sector remains one of the strongest pillars of our economy, as we now have over 1000 registered IT BPM enterprises under PEZA. Every new hub like this one adds to that story, and reaffirms why the Philippines continues to be a top destination for global business services,” said Panga. “With this, we thank TP for your continued trust in our people and the country at PEZA. We truly value our partnership because your success is also our success, and we assure you of our commitment to supporting your operations every step of the way.”

TP’s latest expansion builds on 30 years of domestic history, anchored by its status as the country’s most consistently recognized employer with nine straight Great Place to Work certifications. The digital business services leader now boasts a workforce of roughly 60,000 nationwide, servicing clients not only from Metro Manila but also from robust regional tech hubs like Cebu, Bacolod, Baguio, Clark, CDO, Davao, Laoag, and General Santos
