Summer Nostalgia: Gabby Concepcion & The Platters at City of Dreams

A wave of nostalgia and timeless music is set to fill the air this summer as City of Dreams Manila presents two spectacular live performances celebrating beloved classics and enduring artistry. From OPM charm to golden-era harmonies, music lovers can look forward to unforgettable nights of entertainment.

Gabby Concepcion Live at CenterPlay

The ever-charismatic Gabby Concepcion takes the spotlight at the CenterPlay Concert Series on March 18 at 9:30 p.m., delivering a performance that blends romance, nostalgia, and musical elegance.

Widely known as one of the Philippines’ most enduring leading men, Concepcion has also carved out a meaningful presence in music. He released two albums under Warner Music Philippines—his self-titled debut in 2008, which featured heartfelt interpretations of OPM favorites like “Iisa Pa Lamang” and “Nakapagtataka,” followed by Unforgettable in 2010, where he lent his smooth vocals to classics such as “Moon River,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” and “Fly Me to the Moon.”

At CenterPlay, fans can expect the same warmth and charisma that have made him a household name. In an intimate lounge setting, Concepcion will serenade guests with a mix of timeless favorites and nostalgic melodies that highlight his signature charm and stage presence.

The upcoming show follows the successful performance of OPM powerhouse Nina, part of the venue’s ongoing CenterPlay Concert Series that regularly brings the country’s top artists to enthusiastic crowds.

Adding to the lively atmosphere, bands Moranos, Highschool Playlist, and Le Chic will perform throughout the evening, rotating sets from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Guests may reserve seats or tables starting at P4,000 per person, inclusive of consumables such as bar snacks, burgers, fries, and beverages. VIP couch seating for groups of eight and other seating configurations are also available.

Designed for a vibrant nightlife experience, CenterPlay opens at 6 p.m., offering light meals, signature cocktails, wines, beers, and other refreshments in a stylish lounge built around a circular stage at the heart of the gaming floor.

Music fans can also step back into the romance and elegance of the 1950s and 1960s as “The Golden Sounds of The Platters” takes over the Grand Ballroom on March 27 and 28 at 8 p.m.

Presented by Steve O’Neal Productions, the world-class five-member touring ensemble pays tribute to the legendary vocal group The Platters—renowned for their smooth harmonies and timeless love songs.

Audiences will be treated to heartfelt renditions of classics that defined generations, including “Only You,” “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,” “The Great Pretender,” and “Twilight Time.” Each performance recreates the unmistakable sound that made The Platters one of the most influential vocal groups in music history.
