OPM rockestra Silent Sanctuary is gearing up for a landmark international tour, performing in Japan from March 27–29 and continuing to Singapore on April 5 at Timbre+ One North. Originally planned as a single Japan show, overwhelming fan demand expanded the run to three sold-out performances, marking a major milestone for the band’s overseas presence.

“This is our first time in Japan. Supposed to be one show only, but because of the fans, they opened a second show and then a third,” shared vocalist Sarkie Sarangay, reflecting on the unexpected size of their Japanese fanbase.

Violinist Kim Mirandilla-Ng described the tour as a “new adventure” the band is grateful to embark on, while cellist Anjo Inacay emphasized the growing influence of OPM across Asia, noting how exciting it is to see Filipino music resonating with audiences beyond the Philippines.

Japan Tour Highlights

The band will perform at:

  • Mr. Back Saitama
  • Livehouse Shinjuku SAMURAI
  • Heaven’s Door

Fans can expect Silent Sanctuary’s signature blend of rock instrumentation and classical strings, with sets that include classic hits, deep cuts, and special fan requests. The band acknowledges the challenge of performing in Japan’s vibrant livehouse scene but is committed to delivering high-energy, world-class performances.

New Single “UNA”

Coinciding with the tour is the release of “UNA”, a refreshed version of a demo originally recorded in 2009 and part of the band’s early live repertoire. Released under Universal Records, the single drops February 27, giving fans a taste of Silent Sanctuary’s evolving sound.

Two Decades of OPM Excellence

After more than 20 years in the music industry, Silent Sanctuary continues to evolve creatively, fueled by a passion for songwriting, live performance, and connection with fans worldwide.

“Walang humpay na pasasalamat,” Sarangay said. “Thank you to all the old and new fans. Sana hindi kayo magsawa, dahil hindi kami magsasawang gumawa ng kanta para sa inyo.”

Silent Sanctuary’s Japan and Singapore tour cements their role as ambassadors of OPM, bringing Filipino artistry to new audiences while staying true to their signature emotive sound.
