In “Tago,” Shawn explores the tension between desire and hesitation — the yearning to confess feelings, tempered by fear and uncertainty. “Ang Labo” tackles the emotional whirlwind of mixed signals, reflecting the confusion and vulnerability that comes with navigating young relationships.
Both tracks were written by Shawn herself and produced by Roque “Rox” Santos, head of StarPop Records, who has guided the teen artist in shaping her authentic sound.
Earlier this year, Shawn made her debut under StarPop with “Love Has Come My Way,” announcing her arrival on the OPM scene.
At just 16, the San Francisco-born singer-songwriter has already demonstrated a maturity beyond her years. Relocating to the Philippines to pursue her musical dreams, she began playing piano at age 10 and writing original songs by 11. Inspired by artists like Billie Eilish, Frank Ocean, and Clairo, Shawn channels her emotions into music, creating heartfelt songs that resonate with young audiences navigating love, self-discovery, and life’s ups and downs.
