Two Teams, One Flag: Team Liquid continues its Golden Road Journey, Aurora Gaming defends the throne in the world’s biggest MLBB esports tournament

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), the flagship title of international game developer MOONTON Games, officially launched the Philippines’ M7 World Championship campaign with a high-energy Send-Off Event held Friday at Pop Up Katipunan in Manila. The gathering brought together players, content creators, and fans in a unified show of support as the country’s representatives prepare to compete on the biggest MLBB esports stage in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Representing the Philippines at M7 are Team Liquid and Aurora Gaming PH, who will face each other in their opening Swiss Stage match on January 10. Despite being domestic rivals, both teams stand united with a shared mission—to defend the M-Series crown and secure a historic sixth consecutive championship for the Philippines.
Anchored by the rallying cry “Two Teams, One Flag,” the send-off event emphasized national unity over rivalry. As the country continues #DePHendingTheLegacy, Team Liquid and Aurora Gaming PH carry the same responsibility: to uphold the Philippines’ dominance in global MLBB esports.

Team Liquid enters the M7 World Championship in pursuit of the prestigious “Golden Road”—a rare achievement earned by winning all major domestic and international titles within a single competitive year. Leading the charge is star jungler Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, who is also on track to make history as the first-ever three-time MLBB world champion. Joining them is Aurora Gaming PH, determined to cement its place on the global stage and contribute to the nation’s continued reign.
One of the event’s highlights was the unveiling of the official M7 Mural, a striking centerpiece artwork that celebrates the Philippines’ journey to the world stage. Created by Filipino artist Melvin Rodas, the mural blends the global M7 narrative with the colors and symbolism of the Philippine flag—serving as a powerful visual tribute to national pride, creativity, and the collective spirit of the MPL PH community.

“At M7, Team Liquid and Aurora Gaming PH don’t just represent their organizations—they carry the hopes of an entire nation,” said Niel Anthony Lajot, PH Esports Marketing Communications Manager at MOONTON Games. “The M7 Mural is more than just art. It represents our legacy, our unity, and our unwavering belief in our teams.”
Rodas shared that the mural was inspired by the energy and passion surrounding MLBB in the Philippines. “I wanted to capture the festive chaos and intensity of the game,” he said. “With the long history of Philippine teams winning, this artwork is my way of contributing to that legacy. I want fans to feel that they are part of our continued dominance.”

Rodas is known for his bold visual storytelling and sports-inspired works, particularly in basketball. His portfolio includes NBA-related projects, such as artwork created during Kevin Durant’s visit to Manila. His involvement comes as MLBB recently announced a landmark partnership with the NBA, signaling MOONTON Games’ expanding global entertainment footprint.
During the send-off, MOONTON Games also presented Team Liquid and Aurora Gaming PH with official player kits to support their preparations heading into the tournament.
Further strengthening community engagement, MOONTON Games announced an official M7 Watch Party scheduled from January 23 to 25 at the Mall of Asia Music Hall. The event will give fans a dedicated space to watch the matches live, celebrate, and rally behind the Philippine representatives throughout the championship.

Through the M7 Send-Off Event, MOONTON Games reinforced its commitment to uniting fans, honoring artistry, and celebrating the competitive excellence that defines Philippine MLBB esports. As the teams head to Jakarta, the nation once again rallies behind them—ready to witness history in the making.
