For the second year running, DITO Telecommunity proudly partners with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Province of Ilocos Norte as a major sponsor of Palarong Pambansa 2025—a national celebration of youth, sportsmanship, and the enduring spirit of the Filipino.
From May 24 to June 2, more than 15,800 student-athletes from 19 regions will converge in Ilocos Norte to compete in 29 sports disciplines, including new events like Pencak Silat and Weightlifting. But beyond the competition, Palaro is a celebration of heritage, resilience, and national pride—bringing together diverse communities under this year’s theme: “Nagkakaisang Kapuluan.”
This theme mirrors DITO’s mission to unite Filipinos from every city, barrio, and far-flung island through the power of connection and opportunity. “We at DITO believe in the incredible potential of the Filipino youth,” said Atty. Adel Tamano, DITO’s Chief Revenue Officer. “Through sports, we see their courage, determination, and hope. That’s why supporting Palarong Pambansa is a privilege—it celebrates the best of who we are and who we can become.”
Inspired by Teófilo Yldefonso, Ilocos Norte’s first Olympic medalist, the 65th edition of Palaro honors stories of perseverance and pride. As the country’s youngest telco, DITO is actively supporting the event by powering connectivity at key venues, ensuring athletes, families, and fans across the country can share in every victory.
More than just a sponsor, DITO will be present at the Opening Ceremony on May 24 at the FEM Stadium, joining President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, and thousands of athletes, coaches, and supporters.
Adding color to the celebration, DITO will host interactive booths and games through its GalingDITO platform—offering fun activities, exclusive giveaways, and highlighting the excellence of the Filipino youth not just in sports, but in life.
