GCash, the Philippines’ leading finance super app, has partnered with CARD Indogrosir, a hybrid local retail chain serving both retail customers and wholesale buyers. Through this collaboration, GCash is deploying its innovative SoundPay devices across all CARD Indogrosir branches, enabling faster, smoother, and more reliable cashless transactions.
Faster Payments With SoundPay
SoundPay uses a compact device that emits a distinct audio cue whenever a payment is successfully completed. This eliminates the need for merchants to check their phones, wait for signals, or ask for payment screenshots. The system is especially effective in areas with unstable or limited connectivity, giving both customers and store owners a seamless payment experience.
Currently, SoundPay devices are already installed in 29 CARD Indogrosir branches, with 44 more stores set to adopt the technology before the year ends. By next year, the rollout will expand to 200 stores nationwide.
For GCash users, SoundPay provides a more intuitive, secure, and modern way to pay. For merchants, it simplifies operations, reduces delays, and enhances customer experience—whether serving walk-in shoppers or bulk buyers.
