New Single Alert HERE & NOW Drops Trilogy Finale “Paalam”_2

HERE & NOW caps off 2025 with the release of their third single, “Paalam,” completing the emotional trilogy that began with “Himala” and continued with “Kahapon.” The track made an immediate mark, debuting on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Philippines playlist, showcasing the band’s signature blend of modern rock, metal influences, and melodic, emotionally charged storytelling.

“Paalam” stands as the band’s most vulnerable release yet, exploring acceptance, closure, and the courage to move forward. Written collectively by the band, with guitarist Patrick Poblador leading production and arrangement, the song reflects the challenging human experience of finally letting go.

“Paalam was inspired by the struggle of going through rough times, internally and externally—those seconds where you’re still holding on even as you’re already saying goodbye. It’s a reflection on acceptance, closure, and the kind of peace that only arrives after everything falls apart,” says vocalist Paco Santos.

The single closes the narrative arc started by HERE & NOW’s earlier 2025 releases: “Himala” captured the exhilaration of unexpected love, “Kahapon” delved into the struggle of letting go, and “Paalam” marks the turning point where acceptance arrives, signaling the start of a new chapter.

Musically, “Paalam” leans into a rawer, energetic sound, reconnecting with the band’s pop-punk roots. Vocal production features layered harmonies from Patrick Poblador and Allen Guarnes, adding depth and dynamism to the track.

“Paalam leans into a more raw and aggressive sound, drawing from our pop-punk roots. Writing in Tagalog made everything feel more raw and direct—it allowed us to be poetic without overcomplicating and honest without over-explaining,” Paco adds.

HERE & NOW—comprising Paco Santos (vocals), Patrick Poblador and Allen Guarnes (guitars), Lance Camposano (guitar), Gab Palanca (bass), and Franco Aguila (drums)—plans to release a visualizer that ties all three 2025 singles together into a singular narrative concept.

“Each tune stands on its own but is part of a shared emotional arc across three songs. Paalam is meant to resonate with anyone healing or processing change,” Paco says.

Fans can also look forward to live shows across the city and the band’s first official merchandise. Reflecting on 2025, HERE & NOW describes it as a formative year—refining their sound, performing some of their biggest shows yet, and connecting with a growing listener base.

“Paalam marks the end of one emotional chapter and the beginning of a more expansive one. We’re already working on new material, collaborations, and preparing for a full album in 2026,” Paco concludes.

“Paalam” is now streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all major platforms.
