LG officially unveiled its next-generation xboom speaker lineup – featuring AI Smart Sound and creative direction by global icon will.i.am in a high-energy launch party at Xylo in BGC
LG Electronics amped up Manila’s party scene with the LG XBOOM AI: Pop Goes Boom launch — a high-voltage celebration at Xylo at the Palace that turned into a K-pop-powered dance floor. The night pulsed with electrifying performances from Zephanie and NEW:ID, while guests got hands-on with the sleek, smart, and bass-packed LG XBOOM AI speakers through immersive demos.
“Welcome to Pop Goes Boom!” boomed Mr. Yongwoo Park, LG Philippines’ Product Director for Media Solutions, as he kicked off the event. “Tonight, the bass doesn’t just play — it pops. Here at Xylo, everything pop will go boom. Let the sound take over. Let’s go big, let’s go loud, let’s go XBOOM!”
Ms. Mildred Bugay, LG Philippines’ Product Manager for Audio, gave the crowd a closer look at the 2025 XBOOM lineup — expertly tuned by will.i.am to deliver richer, warmer tones and unmatched immersion. “His fusion of cutting-edge tech and pop culture transforms every listening session into an experience,” she shared.
The 2025 LG XBOOM AI Lineup
- XBOOM Stage 301 – Room-filling power with a 6.5” woofer, dual 2.5” midrange drivers, and karaoke-ready mic controls.
- XBOOM Bounce – Compact yet bold with dual passive radiators and twin dome tweeters that make every beat punchy.
- XBOOM Grab – Tube-shaped, ultra-portable design with a 16mm tweeter for crisp sound anywhere.
- XBOOM Buds – Graphene-coated drivers, advanced noise cancellation, and triple-mic clarity for solo listening on the go.
K-POP Dance Challenge Brings the Heat
Hosted by Candy Gamos and organized with Philippine KPOP Convention Inc., the K-POP Dance Challenge lit up the stage. DazZ Official hyped the crowd, Excrementum impressed with their fluid, genderless concept, Kairos wowed with precision, Principtium hit hard with sharp moves, and Psycho unleashed pure energy.
Judged by Mildred Bugay, AG Constantino, and Wilson of NEW:ID, Principtium claimed the top spot, followed by Kairos (2nd) and Psycho (3rd). All other teams took home an LG XBOOM Bounce as a special prize.
The fun didn’t stop with the contestants — the audience joined in, dancing to “Gnarly” by KATSEYE, with winners picked based on the loudest cheers, scoring their own LG XBOOM gear.
Star Power Performances
NEW:ID turned up the voltage with “Ghost,” “Killing It Girl,” and “Deja Vu,” thrilling fans with powerful choreography and synchronized moves. “Bass is everything for us,” they said. “And the LG XBOOM AI delivers every beat loud, clear, and hard-hitting.”
Then Zephanie, Idol Philippines 2019 Grand Champion, took the stage with a show-stopping “Problem” and “Bang Bang,” her vocals amplified to perfection by LG XBOOM’s precision tuning. “LG has been part of my journey, both on and off stage,” she shared. “These speakers keep up with me — from rehearsals to winding down.”
DJ Dara closed the night with her signature upbeat mix, keeping the dance floor alive until the last track.
