LG Electronics (LG) is unveiling an exciting enhancement for music enthusiasts who stream on their smart TVs. LG Smart TVs, including OLED and QNED models featuring Dolby Atmos, are now the first TVs to support Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos from Apple Music. Rolling out this week, this groundbreaking feature immerses users in an enthralling musical journey, enhancing their audio enjoyment to unprecedented levels.
To commemorate this significant achievement, LG is extending a generous offer of three months of free Apple Music to LG Smart TV users worldwide. This trial period is accessible through the Apple Music app on compatible LG Smart TVs (2018 models and newer) running webOS 4.0 and higher, as well as lifestyle screen models like StanbyME, StanbyME Go, and MyView Smart Monitor.
Apple Music, renowned for its ad-free streaming service and vast library of over 100 million songs and 30,000 expertly curated playlists, also offers exclusive content such as Apple Music Live, a concert series featuring live video streams, post-show video playback, live-recorded albums, and exclusive pre-show artist interviews. LG Smart TV users can seamlessly access Apple Music through voice commands, the LG Content Store, Apps, or the Music Quick Card on the Home Screen, providing a convenient gateway to uninterrupted musical entertainment.
The addition of Dolby Atmos-enabled music further enhances the auditory experience, delivering unparalleled clarity and depth with multidimensional sound. Apple Music automatically plays Dolby Atmos tracks on compatible LG Smart TVs, and when combined with Dolby Atmos-enabled LG soundbars, the sound envelops listeners in an unparalleled listening experience. Furthermore, with the implementation of loudness normalization algorithms, there’s no need to adjust the volume when switching to Dolby Atmos tracks.
Even on LG Smart TVs not directly supported by Dolby Atmos, users can still enjoy the mesmerizing sound by connecting to a Dolby Atmos-enabled LG soundbar. LG Smart TVs also offer direct connectivity to Apple AirPods or other Apple devices via Bluetooth for an immersive Dolby Atmos experience.
