Students and Teachers in the Philippines and Across Asia Are Invited to Build Fantastical Worlds in LEGO® Bricks
Calling all young builders from across Asia! Get ready to mark your calendars because the LEGOLAND® School Challenge 2024 is here, and we’re throwing open our doors wide. Registration kicks off on April 15th through the LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort website. This year, we’re excited to extend a warm welcome to schools from every corner of Asia – including the Philippines, China, Taiwan, India, Korea, and Japan – alongside our friends in Southeast Asia.
Prepare to unleash your creativity and bring fantastical worlds to life using LEGO® bricks! Immerse yourself in the magical realm of this year’s theme: ‘World of Fantasy,’ where you can envision majestic castles, majestic dragons, and enchanting forests – the possibilities are endless! With incredible prizes worth over PHP 1M (RM100,000) up for grabs, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.
Winners will have the chance to embark on an unforgettable journey to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, where they’ll participate in a special LEGO building workshop led by a Master Model Builder and engage in exciting learning programs at the resort. Judges will be seeking out entries that showcase creativity, technical skills, the ability to capture the essence of the fantasy theme using LEGO, and innovative application of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts.
Building on Success: The Ever-Expanding LEGOLAND School Challenge
Since 2022, the LEGOLAND School Challenge has been a catalyst for sparking imaginations. This remarkable competition brings together students and teachers to showcase their remarkable LEGO® building skills. Previous themes such as “Pride of Your State” and “Future Cities” have inspired awe-inspiring creations. In 2023, an astounding 370 school group submissions poured in from across the ASEAN region, marking an impressive 80% increase from the previous year.
“The LEGO brick serves as a universal language of creativity. By expanding the LEGOLAND School Challenge, our aim is to create connections among young builders from diverse backgrounds, fostering collaboration and celebrating different cultures,” remarked CS Lim, Divisional Director of LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.
How to Enter
- Form a team of 4-8 students and 2 teachers.
- Register online between April 15th and May 24th on the LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort website.
